dad got in a car wreck yesterday. he got some bruises but i think he's gonna be okay...the truck got banged up though. to my knowledge it was the other guy's fault, but it doesn't really matter to me. i'm just glad that no one got killed.

ok, so my advisory is going to first watch tomorrow morning...funfun!

as for shadowing i went to grant and followed karen around for most of the day. it was so interesting and so exciting...i mean i never really thought of being a nurse before. but it looks like a really cool job. who knows? but some of it was scary, like when we went down to the er with santanello to assist the trauma patient. yes, i did get to see the victim. no, there was no blood...at least on the outside. but when we left the er there was this INSANE man outside. he was surrounded by police officers and he was shouting about stabbing somebody...and i had to walk right fricking past him. it was really scary actually.

but there was some happy times, like going to the maternity ward...BABIES! they were so adorable. there was one preemie who was 1 lb 6 oz. she was so small, but i think she'll make it.

and there was also this man in the icu...they called a code blue for him 4 times today. see, in hospitals they have emergencies that are classified as "codes". a code blue is when a patient ceases to breathe. so, 4 times in one day is bad, very bad. i hope he servives, but he was so sick...he was shot in the chest 5 times. they have a suspect, but they're on the run. great.

but i had a great time and i was able to meet a bunch of amazing people. the food was good too;)

in other news, the new pope was chosen today...man this is a long entry!
